October 1, 2026 - North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is pleased to welcome Alexis Mallett, MD, to NARMC's General & Specialty Surgery team. Dr. Mallett is a general surgeon with areas of focus in general, robotic, trauma and breast surgery.
“Dr. Mallett brings strong surgical training and a thoughtful approach to patient care that will complement our General & Specialty Surgery team,” said Kortni Dixon, Executive Director of Clinics at NARMC. “We’re excited to welcome her to NARMC and look forward to the care she will provide for our patients and families.”
A native of Flippin, returning to North Central Arkansas gives Dr. Mallett the opportunity to practice medicine in the area she has long considered home. Her own experiences as a patient contributed to her decision to pursue medicine and surgery and continue to influence the way she approaches patient care today. She places particular importance on communication throughout the surgical process, taking time to answer questions and helping patients understand what to expect from their care.
“Providing excellent surgical care means taking the time to explain, answer questions and help patients feel comfortable with what comes next,” said Dr. Mallett. “That’s the kind of surgeon I strive to be for every patient.”
Dr. Mallett earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Arkansas and medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences before completing her general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. During her residency, she was recognized with Chief of the Year, Outstanding Resident in Surgery and Resident Educator awards. She was also elected by her peers to serve on the program’s Residency Council and represented the Department of Surgery on Baylor University Medical Center’s patient safety and quality council.
Dr. Mallett will practice at NARMC General & Specialty Surgery, located at 1401 Hwy 65 North, Suite 220, in Harrison, with surgical procedures performed at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center. A referral is required to schedule an appointment.
