North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) provides cardiac rehabilitation services designed to support patients recovering from heart-related conditions. Our team of experts is committed to guiding patients through their recovery journey, ensuring a safe and effective rehabilitation.
Our Cardiac Rehabilitation program features a medically supervised and monitored program tailored to accommodate all forms of cardiovascular diseases. Individuals of all ages may benefit if you have or have had:
- A heart attack
- A heart condition, such as current stable angina, acute myocardial infarction (AMI), STEMI, NSTEMI, Type 2 MI, or congestive heart failure
- Heart procedures or surgeries, including heart transplant, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery, angioplasty, stenting, valve repair or replacement, a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD)
Working with your physician, we are also able to determine if you have Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and develop a custom exercise program that is right for you. The goal is to stabilize, slow, or even reduce the progression of heart failure and help patients improve overall physical, mental, and social function.
This life-changing program can help reduce the risk of heart disease or the recurrence of another cardiac event. Statistics show that individuals who complete the program have a 30-47% better chance of positive long-term outcomes compared to those who do not complete the program.
Our modern facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art monitoring system which helps analyze the heart's reaction to exercise and allows our highly-trained staff to personalize treatment plans. It is also equipped with new exercise equipment including treadmills, upper extremity ergometers, bikes, elliptical trainers, and more, which help to create a truly customized program for each individual.
RN's and LPN's carefully monitor patients' exercise programs and patients are then able to continue with a supervised exercise program to build heart strength and stamina. Licensed medical staff also provide counseling on modifying risk factors and education to help you understand your condition and how to properly manage it.
The Cardiac Rehab program is open Monday – Friday and welcomes new patients each week. Regain your heart health in order to return to living with peace and confidence. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (870) 414-4545.
