HOSPICE CARE
At some point, near the end of life, a patient’s in-home care may simply become unmanageable for the family. At that time, nothing is more important than providing a patient and family with comfort and excellent, personal care just like that they would receive at home. Hospice of the Hills has been the leader in providing this service to members of our community since 1993. In fact, in 2007, our Hospice House became one of only a few in the U.S. whose construction was completely funded by community donations.
The Hospice House offers a homelike setting which encourages families and pets to visit and a family member to stay overnight.

Our services may be managed by the patient’s personal physician and include:
-
Skilled nursing and experienced certified nursing assistance
-
Palliative (Comfort) Care
-
Respite Care
-
Oxygen
-
Chaplain and Bereavement Counseling
-
Social Worker
-
Tender Touch Therapy
-
Trained Volunteers
-
Nutritional Counseling
Our Mission Statement says it best: Hospice of the Hills exists to provide support in a family-centered care environment to terminally ill persons and their families...preserving their human dignity, enriching their quality of life. Promoting family unity and optimal level of functioning and reducing the costs involved in terminal illness.
