North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) was honored to be recognized by a WWII era fly over on Saturday afternoon.
Steuart Walton, Chairman of the Arkansas Economic Recovery Task Force, is an accomplished pilot and led the fleet of planes. For Walton, this was a chance to honor frontline healthcare workers, first responders, and those affected by COVID-19. Walton cannot shake the hands of individuals around the state, so this was his way of honoring them from a safe distance.
Local first responders including Boone County Sheriff's Department, Harrison Police and Fire Departments and NARMC EMS crews parked in front of the hospital with their lights flashing to lead the planes to NARMC. Community members parked in hospital parking lots and surrounding lots to show their support.
The NARMC team is truly amazed by the community support during COVID-19. Thank you to everyone that stopped by to watch the fly over and support NARMC. Thank you Steuart Walton for this incredible gesture!
