North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is honored to be recognized as a fleet of World War II era military planes fly over the state of Arkansas on Saturday, May 9, 2020. The planes will be flying over NARMC around 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
Steuart Walton, Chairman of the Arkansas Economic Recovery Task Force, is an accomplished pilot and will be leading the fleet of planes. For Walton, this is a chance to honor frontline healthcare workers, first responders, and those affected by COVID-19. Walton cannot shake the hands of individuals around the state, so this is his way of honoring them from a safe distance.
The area near the NARMC main entrance will be reserved for first responders. The public is invited to attend, and show support with flashing lights in the lower NARMC parking lot. The north parking area may be used for any additional parking needs. During this event, we encourage social distancing and ask that you remain in your vehicle to show support for our teams.
Please join us as our community is honored in this incredible way to show support for the healthcare heroes at NARMC and local first responders on Saturday, May 9, at 4:15pm.
