NARMC Welcomes New Oncologist

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) welcomes Dr. Candice Baldeo, M.B.B.S to The Claude Parrish Cancer Center.

Dr. Baldeo graduated from medical school at The University of the West Indies in St. Augustine, Trinidad. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Florida and her fellowship training in medical oncology and hematology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. While in her third year at Mayo, she was selected by the physician faculty to serve as the Chief Fellow.

Dr. Baldeo is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology and is professionally associated with the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Baldeo’s role at NARMC is to oversee the care of patients with a cancer diagnosis and coordinate treatments with other specialists. Along with the oversight of chemotherapy, Dr. Baldeo will be seeing patients for disorders related to blood such as anemia, blood clots, leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and other blood related issues.

“Cancer treatment can be intense requiring frequent physician visits. I hope to reduce this burden by offering our services to the local community where patients can be cared for close to their homes and families,” Dr. Baldeo said. “Our goal is to deliver valuable, high quality care to our patients. Here at Claude Parrish Cancer Center, we have a very strong, hardworking, dynamic team that will be able to provide the personalized care that our patients deserve.”

NARMC President and CEO, Vince Leist states, “Dr Baldeo brings a wealth of knowledge to our team and we are looking forward to seeing her make an impact on patients in our community.”
