NARMC Donates hospital gowns to Grandma’s House

Recently, The Grandma’s House Children’s Advocacy Center lost most of their medical gowns after experiencing flood damage. The North Arkansas Regional Medical (NARMC) team was proud to be able to step up and meet the need of this valuable community organization.

“Grandma's House Children's Advocacy Center would like to thank NARMC for the donation of the medical gowns. The trauma that comes with a child disclosing abuse is a difficult time for a family, and it is our role to make the process as smooth as possible,” Lora Stephens, Advocacy and Prevention Coordinator said. “After a disclosure or concern of sexual abuse, it is often helpful for a child to see a healthcare professional. Medical services are offered onsite by a specially-trained pediatric sexual assault nurse examiner in our specially designed, child-friendly examination room. We have a wonderful nurse that works with the children, and we are so thankful to be able to perform the exams in our facilities. Anything we can do to make a child more comfortable is our top priority, and because of NARMC’s donation, we can continue to meet the needs of the children and families in our community.”

NARMC staff members, Kim Rosson and Nina Borland, coordinated the donation.

NARMC is proud to play a vital role in our community. Alongside organizations like Grandma’s House, we strive to keep our community healthy and safe.
