North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is currently taking applications for the summer program, MASH.

MASH, Medical Applications of Science for Health, is a two-week summer camp that introduces junior and seniors in high school to careers in healthcare. The program originated at UAMS in Little Rock.

Students shadow professionals in a variety of healthcare locations and learn medical terminology. The students participate in hands-on activities to learn medical procedures such as heart dissection and suturing. They tour the NARMC campus and take several local field trips.

The deadline to apply is April 1.

A total of 16 students will be chosen to participate in this year's program which will be held June 17-28, 2019.
