
North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) offers several classes to expectant parents.
Here is a look at what NARMC has to offer:
NARMC Prenatal Classes:
-The pre-registration class is recommended for all pregnant women delivering at NARMC. Necessary paperwork will be reviewed along with what to expect at NARMC. The class lasts about 1.5 hours. -Breastfeeding class is suggested for all pregnant women to learn more about current recommended infant feeding practices.

Pre-Registration, 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m.: January 7, February 4, March 4, May 6, June 3, July 8, August 5, October 7, November 4 and December 2
Pre-Registration, 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.: April 1 and September 9
Breastfeeding, 12 p.m.-1 p.m.: January 8, March 5, August 6 and December 3
Breastfeeding, 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.: May 6 and October 7
Your Nine Month Journey Series
Join us for the childbirth series, Your Nine Month Journey, and meet other families as you learn and discover more about pregnancy, birth and beyond. The classes meet once a month and cover a different topic each time. It’s an exciting time to be delivering at NARMC!
This series of classes include prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, breastfeeding and newborn care with pre-registration. It is suggested that you begin classes as soon as pregnancy is confirmed. You are welcomed to take all five classes to complete the series or take any combination.
All classes are free. Support persons encouraged. Please do not bring children to the classes. All classes are held in Conference Room D in the third floor tower of NARMC. To register or for more information, call Sandra Guidry, Lactation Consultant, 870-414-5324.
Birthing Class Series: 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m.
Series 1: January 7, Prenatal Care February 4, Labor and Birth March 4, Postpartum Care April 1, Newborn Care/Pre-registration May 6, Breastfeeding
Series 2: June 3, Prenatal Care July 8, Labor and Birth August 5, Postpartum Care September 9, Newborn Care/Pre-registration October 7, Breastfeeding

Your birth champion is welcome to attend. Please do not bring children to the class.
