North Arkansas Regional Medical Center is proud to welcome Dr. Ashley Merrick to the Family Medicine Clinic. Dr. Merrick, a graduate of University of Arkansas for Medical Science, is returning to her hometown of Harrison to practice pediatrics.
“Pediatric medicine is such an important piece of keeping our community health, we are very glad to add Dr. Merrick to our staff to meet that need,” said Vince Leist, president and CEO. “We are committed to recruiting more healthcare providers to our rural area to meet the growing needs of the market because it is the right thing to do for our community.”
Dr. Merrick comes to NARMC from Mercy Clinic in Springfield, Missouri, where she served on their Baby Friendly Steering Committee. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
“I am excited to move my practice to my hometown and serve the children of the North Arkansas community,” Dr. Merrick said. “I grew up at NARMC, and I feel fortunate to be able to return here to use my skills to benefit the next generation.”
