NARMC Meets Local School District Need

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is a proud supporter of its surrounding communities. When NARMC found out that Valley Springs School District had a specific need that the hospital system could meet, staff began the process of fulfilling the request.

Valley Springs School District was looking for a hospital bed for their nurse’s office in order to serve students better.

“When we found out about this need, I knew this was something we could help with. We recently upgraded several beds in order to enhance patient care,” said Vice-President of Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer, Sammie Cribbs. “We were able to donate a bed that we were no longer using to the school district. We are proud to be able to serve our local communities in such a way.”

NARMC staff delivered the bed before school began on Thursday, August 23. Nurse, Shannon Tennison, relocated her office in order to make room for the hospital bed.

“As a school district, we want to make sure our students’ needs are met, whether that comes in the form of pencil and paper or more specific needs,” Superintendent Judy Green said. “We are thankful NARMC was able to provide the equipment we needed.”
