Josh Bright Appointed to State Association Board

Josh Bright, PharmD, Director Pharmacy Services at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Association of Hospital Pharmacists (AAHP) as Chair of the Programs and Education Council. Bright will remain a member of their Hospital Advisory Council, as well. AAHP is an academy of the larger Arkansas Pharmacists Association. 

 

“The mission of this organization is to provide leadership and support in the promotion of pharmaceutical care. Based on Josh’s innovative approaches to his work and leadership at NARMC, we know he will be a valuable asset to AAHP and their efforts across the continuum of care,” Vince Leist, NARMC President and CEO, said.

 

According to Bright, “The goal of the Programs and Education Council will be to prepare Arkansas pharmacists, residents, students and pharmacy technicians to respond to the emerging needs of patients through innovative conferences, education and programs. My specific goal in leading the council will be to develop unique and accessible learning opportunities for pharmacists and technicians to further expand the practice of pharmacy in Arkansas. This may include live webinars, workshops and certification curriculum which encourage networking and collaboration among peers and other disciplines alike.”
