North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is proud to announce that Clinical Dietitian, Lynetta Smith, MS, RD, LD, has been named Young Dietitian of the Year by the Arkansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
“Lynetta values education, evidence-based practice and has proven herself to be hard working. She has excelled as a clinical dietitian at NARMC,” said NARMC Director of Food and Nutrition Services, Debi Arnold, MS, RD, LD. “Lynetta demonstrates compassion in her care; she has been able to relate to her patients in such a way that builds incredible rapport and facilitates positive change.”
Arnold nominated Smith for the prestigious honor. The purpose of the award is to recognize an individual who demonstrates concern for the promotion of optimal health and nutritional status of the population and has displayed leadership through participation in legislation, research, education and management. Smith was honored at a reception on Thursday, April 19, in Little Rock.
“I am honored and humbled to be a recipient of this award,” Smith, MS, RD, LD said. “It is my privilege to serve in a hospital where so many people regularly extend themselves above and beyond their job descriptions. I am thankful for the tremendous support I receive at NARMC to excel in my field.”
