Two NARMC Nurses Earn Great 100 Nurses Honors

April 19, 2018

Exceptional nurses have a significant impact on patient care and experience. North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) has a dedicated nursing staff that is committed to providing safe, quality care. Two NARMC nurses recently received statewide recognition as Great 100 Nurses in Arkansas for the exceptional care they provide every day.

Erin Berry, RN and nurse manager of the Emergency Department, and Dawn Brown, RN and nurse manager of the OB Department, were both recognized for their leadership, compassion and contributions to the nursing profession.

“We are so proud to have Dawn and Erin recognized for their outstanding performance and commitment to quality,” said Sammie Cribbs, chief nursing officer and vice president of clinical services. “Nurses are a vital part of the care team, and NARMC is fortunate to have a great team of highly skilled, compassionate nurses caring for our patients and our community. It is a true honor to work with such a wonderful team of nurses.”

For more than 30 years, the Great 100 Nurses Foundation has honored thousands of nurses across Louisiana, North Carolina, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. These exemplary nurses weree selected based on their concern for humanity, their contributions to the profession of nursing and their impact on other healthcare professionals through mentoring. It is a great honor in the life of the nurse to be selected as a Great 100 Honoree.

The foundation recognized their nursing heroes at a banquet held on April 10 at the Embassy Suites in Little Rock. Erin and Dawn each received a certificate and pin in recognition of their accomplishment.

The Great 100 Nurses Foundation not only honors the top nurses, but also supports nursing advocacy, nursing scholarships and nursing research for the betterment of lives, publication of nursing discoveries and the implementation of those discoveries.

Congratulations to Berry and Brown, and thank you for your contributions to nursing at NARMC and the community!
