NARMC to Host The Healing Power of Art Contest

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) has announced an art competition for area students. The theme for this year’s submissions will be compassion and hope.

Awards will be given to first- and second-place winners in four grade categories: 1st-3rd, 4th -6th, 7th-9th and 10th-12th, plus one overall Best of Show. A total of $400 will be awarded to the students. NARMC will host a reception for category winners, their families and teachers in January, where the winning art will be framed and on display.

“Hospitals are inherently stressful, and this project allows area students to help brighten the walls of NARMC,” said Martha Hendrix, Director of Strategic Communications. “We know we have a lot of talented students in our area, and we are pleased to be able to recognize them with this project.”
