Back to School: Back to a Workout Routine

School has started and that means that it is time to get back into a routine. Many fall out of a routine during the summer and because of that, our health suffers.

With these three easy workout tips, you can be back into a healthy routine and feeling great in no time.

1. Get outside and walk!

This is the cheapest and easiest form of exercise. Walking does not cost you anything and can be done pretty much anywhere. With fall temps setting in, this is the best time of year to start walking. If weather conditions are not favorable, find an indoor track or treadmill near you. Indoor tracks are great alternatives to walking outside.

2. Before and after a workout, spend time stretching.

This tip is key to success! You do not want to injure yourself because you failed to prepare properly before working out. Flexibility is crucial to a successful workout.

3. Stay hydrated---with water!

You hear this tip a lot, but it is so important! You sweat more than you realize and need to make sure you are taking in enough fluids. Water is the best choice, while sports drinks are only needed if you are participating in very strenuous activity.

Follow these tips and you will be feeling great very soon!
