NARMC Human Resources Welcomes New Director

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is proud to welcome Donna Waldrop to our team of healthcare professionals as the new Director of Human Resources (HR). Waldrop brings more than 15 years of HR experience to the role. A senior certified professional in the Society of HR Management, Waldrop earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Waldrop leads a team of eight HR professionals who oversee the hospital’s recruitment, benefits, compensation, health and wellness, and workers’ compensation programs for more than 800 NARMC employees. With experience in building business HR programs from the ground up, she sees opportunities to streamline and automate HR processes to increase efficiency. “Automating and improving our HR processes allows us to be more proactive in other areas,” said Waldrop. “We can focus our efforts on our team members, be more timely and even reduce our environmental footprint by moving to better electronic systems.”

As an adjunct professor at the University of Arkansas and John Brown University, Waldrop has taught both HR and Communication courses. She serves on the Governmental Advocacy Team of the Society of HR Management, in addition to being a national member.

Located in Harrison, Arkansas, NARMC is a 176-bed hospital and medical system with a team of 800 dedicated healthcare professionals. The medical center is committed to providing the best in care, close to home for residents of Boone, Marion, Newton, Searcy and Carroll counties. One of the Top 100 rural hospitals according to The Rural Health Policy Institute, NARMC has numerous 5-star ratings from Healthgrade and scores in the 98th percentile for patient satisfaction in the Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Ratings.
