August 1, 2017

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) is proud to announce that Debi Arnold, a registered dietitian, has been promoted to Director of Food and Nutrition Services. Arnold joined the NARMC team in 2012 as a clinical dietitian.

She recently completed a master’s program in Community Health Promotions at the University of Arkansas. With a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from the College of the Ozarks, Arnold brings more than 5 years of experience to her new role.

As director of the Food and Nutrition Services department, Arnold oversees a team of 30 staff members. The primary focus of the team is to meet the nutritional needs of hospital patients. To do so, they prepare and serve more than 150 meals a day. The team also runs the hospital cafeteria serving NARMC employees and guests every day. In addition, a catering team provides in-house service for many hospital events.

“I’m excited to take on this new role,” said Arnold. “Our team has a great opportunity to make difference in the wellness of our patients and community through nutrition. We want to make healthy choices easy choices for those we serve.”

Arnold and her team are eager to provide nutritional assistance and resources to the community. They participate in a local diabetes support group where they lead a nutrition topic discussion and a cooking demonstration each month. Physicians can also refer patients to the registered dietitians for outpatient nutritional guidance.

Located in Harrison, Arkansas, NARMC is a 176-bed hospital and medical system with a team of 800 dedicated healthcare professionals. The medical center is committed to providing the best in care, close to home for residents of Boone, Marion, Newton, Searcy and Carroll counties. One of the Top 100 rural hospitals according to The Rural Health Policy Institute, NARMC has numerous 5-star ratings from Healthgrade and scores in the 98th percentile for patient satisfaction in the Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Ratings.
