Josh Bright, Pharm.D. Named Distinguished Young Pharmacist


North Arkansas Regional Medical Center has been informed their Director of Pharmacy Services, Josh Bright, Pharm. D. has been selected by the Arkansas Pharmacists Association to receive the Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award.

Marion Merrell Dow created the “Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award” to be given annually to an outstanding young pharmacist. The young pharmacist receiving this award has been out of pharmacy school less than 10 years and has demonstrated his or her leadership in the profession. Bright will receive his award during a luncheon scheduled for June 8th at the Little Rock Marriott Statehouse.

“It feels like an overly generous award, and I’m humbled to receive it. As I look over the list of past awardees, there are some very accomplished pharmacists. I owe this honor to many key mentors and the phenomenal group of professional with whom I work. This award also reflects the love and support my beautiful wife, Haley, has given me to develop my practice” said Bright. However, those that work with Bright say they are not surprised in this award. He is involved with many leadership teams at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center and is known for his positive personality, leadership skills and keen knowledge of pharmacy practices.

North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, located in Harrison, Arkansas is a 176 bed hospital and medical system employing 800 healthcare professionals. The medical center serves the healthcare needs of Boone, Marion, Newton, Searcy and Carroll Counties. The hospital has been named one of the Top 100 rural hospitals in the nation by The Rural Health Policy Institute, they have received numerous 5 star ratings by Healthgrade and scored in the 98th percentile for patient satisfaction in the Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Ratings.
