DIABETES
TREATMENT
Diabetes is a disease that is on the rise in the U.S. According to the American Diabetes Association, some Type 2 diabetes symptoms can be so mild that they go unnoticed. These symptoms include:
-
Urinating often
-
Feeling very thirsty
-
Feeling hungry -- even though you’re eating
-
Extreme fatigue
-
Blurry vision
-
Weight loss, even though you are eating more (Type 1 diabetes)
-
Tingling, pain, or numbness in the hands for feet (Type 2 diabetes)

Diabetes which goes undiagnosed can create serious problems, including skin infections and other disorders, eye complications (including eventual blindness), high blood pressure, kidney disease, and Neuropathy, which can lead to the loss of limbs.
Fortunately, diagnosis -- followed by the correct treatment and recommended lifestyle changes -- can prevent or delay the onset of diabetes complications. NARMC’s physicians can screen you for diabetes and, if diagnoses, can put you on the track to better health.
