BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - HEALTHCARE PROVIDER FORMS
The Office of Employee Education and Training (OEET) offers education opportunities for employees and the community at large. Also housed within OEET is NARMC’s Language Services, which provides interpretation/translation for non-English speaking patients.
OEET is open Monday through Friday from 7:00-4:30. Language Services is open Monday through Thursday by appointment.
OEET Programming includes:
- Healthcare Education Programming for youth
- Life Support classes – Heartsaver/First Aid, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Continuing Education (CE) programs and classes for healthcare professionals
- Conversational Medical Spanish
OEET’s Healthcare Education Programming for young people ranges from one-day to multiple week training opportunities.
- Safe Sitter is a one day training targeting 11-13 year olds. There is a $50 charge per student. For further details, please click on the Safe Sitter links above.
- Medical Application of Science for Health (M*A*S*H) is a two week intensive for junior and senior high school students who are interested in exploring healthcare careers. This program is free.
NARMC is an American Heart Association (AHA) Community Training Center and offers the full range of Life Support classes: Heartsaver/First Aid, BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Our CE Programming is delivered through a variety of formats from traditionally formatted lectures to teleconferences and webinars. CE availability depends upon the program and may include physicians, nursing, pharmacy, dietetics, physical therapy, and/or other disciplines. Costs begin at $10 per credit/contact hour.
Conversational Medical Spanish is offered twice a year in the Spring and Fall. It is a two week program meeting daily at 12:00-12:30. There is a minimal materials charge.
